What’s your print voice?

I’m having a small identity crisis. When a friend shared this fun little video, “The Voices of Fonts,” I began thinking more about the typefaces I use.

Of course, I can’t change the styles of our blogs and other publications willy-nilly, but even when I have a choice I seem to be in a rut.

For years I used, but now I think that’s too old-fashioned even for me. When I had to set up my email in a new version of Outlook recently, I changed the default font fromCalibritoArial. I don’t mind the look of Calibri, but I’m rebelling a bit against Microsoft pushing me to use its font by default. I chose Arial on the spur of the moment, because I was looking for a universal font.

I think that my personal style requires a serif font, so maybe I’mCambria. (I know that it’s also a Microsoft font.)

The second video, “More Voice of Fonts,” didn’t help me.

Tell us what font captures your personal voice and why.
